This krewe was founded in 2000 by a group of Carnival veterans. Named after the Greek mythology Cypress King, this parade wants to give a high-quality parade for patrons the first week of the season. The parade has around 500 male and female rides on 25 floats.

This parade takes the uptown route beginning at Jefferson Ave and Magazine St. At Magazine and Napoleon the parade turns left heading north. The parade will turn right onto St. Charles Ave and follow it until it goes around Lee Circle back onto St. Charles Ave. At Canal Street the parade will turn right and then right onto Tchoupitoulas St. It ends at Tchoupitoulas St and Poydras St.

This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
