Founded in 1933 making it the 5th oldest continuously parade during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. The parade features some of the best bands from all over the country and is called “The best day parade in Mardi Gras.” They have floats with themes dedicated to children with 200 men and women riders on 17 floats.

The parade begins at Jefferson St and Magazine St where it will heads east on Magazine. Once at Napoleon, the parade turns left and follows Napoleon north to St. Charles St. At St. Charles, it turns right heading to Lee Cir where it will circle and go back heading north on St Charles. The parade turns right on Canal St where it will end at Canal St and Camp St.

This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
