The Krewe of Thoth was named after the Egyptian Patron of Wisdom and Inventor of Science, Art and Letters. The krewe was founded in 1947 and now has over 1,900 riders on 39 floats. They go on a unique route so they can pass in front of Children’s Hospital and other healthcare facilities.

This Uptown Parade begins at State St and Tchoupitoulas St head northwest to Henry Clay Ave and turns right. Once at Magazine St, the parade will turn and go to Napoleon Ave and go north. At Napoleon and St Charles, the parade will turn right and go to Canal Street. At Canal, it will turn right and go to Tchoupitoulas St where it ends at the intersection of Tchoupitoulas St and Poydras St.

This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
