Known as the King of Carnival, Krewe Rex was established in 1872. The parade has grand traditions, rich and colorful themes and elaborate costumes. There are 600 male rides in the parade and it is one of the oldest krewes in Mardi Gras.
The parade is held in Uptown New Orleans at the intersection of Napoleon Ave and S Clairborne Ave. The parade will go south and turn left onto St Charles. At St Charles and Lee Cir, the parade will circle around and follow St Charles north to Canal St. It will turn right onto Canal and end at Canal and S Peters St.
