The New Orleans Jazz Festival is held annually and began in 1970. The purpose of the festival was to keep the area’s unique culture alive through generation after generation. The festival attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors and earns the local economy around $350 million a year.
Due to COVID-19 the Jazz Festival will be in the fall this year. The Festival presenter Shell felt that it was a wise decision to postpone. The founder expressed that they want all the patrons, vendors and musicians to celebrate in a safe environment.
