This krewe began in 1952 and is known for its stoic ways. It is an all-male krewe that had its first parade in 1981. Today there are over 350 male riders that ride 17 floats. Rider’s throws include medallion beads, doubloons, Spartan helmets and a top-secret mystery throw.
This parade takes the uptown route beginning at Jefferson Ave and Magazine St. At Magazine and Napoleon the parade turns left heading north. The parade will turn right onto St. Charles Ave and follow it until it goes around Lee Circle back onto St. Charles Ave. At Canal Street the parade will turn right and then right onto Tchoupitoulas St. It ends at Tchoupitoulas St and Poydras St.
This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
