Zurich North America has forged a unique bond with New Orleans, where it sponsors the Zurich Classic, and with the Fore!Kids Foundation. Fore!Kids Foundation is the event’s organizer and distributor of its charitable proceeds. The Zurich Classic was the first major sports event in New Orleans post-Katrina in 2006. In 2020, despite the tournament’s cancellation due to the pandemic, Zurich provided over $1.5 million in donations, equivalent to the funds typically raised. The Fore!Kids Foundation adjusted to new safety protocols to distribute these donations to local nonprofits during a crucial time of need.
