This unique event will feature an authentic jazz funeral and second line procession, offering a poignant farewell to loved ones. It is free and open to all, with attendees encouraged to bring photographs or keepsakes of those they wish to honor. Participants may also wear custom t-shirts commemorating their lost loved ones. This event not only allows for personal remembrance but also educates attendees on the revered tradition of New Orleans jazz funerals and second lines.

Additionally, The Spirit of Louisiana Jazz Funeral and Second Line is an opportunity to express gratitude to frontline workers. It recognizes the resilience and dedication of healthcare workers, first responders, utility workers, government employees, and many others who played critical roles during the pandemic and natural disasters. The community is invited to join the procession, demonstrating appreciation for these heroes.
