Hogs for the Cause is known as “the best barbeque festival this side of the Mississippi”. Patrons will experience BBQ and watch over 90 local and regional BBQ masters compete.
There will be seven categories which include Whole Hog, Ribs, Pork Butt/Shoulder, Porkpourri, Sauce, Fan Favorite, and Fundraising Champion. The Grand Champion has to win three of the seven categories and raise at least $4,000.00 in fundraising.
This 2-day event has food, music, beer and fundraising in New Orleans. Bacon night will be Friday and BBQ all day Saturday. Voted the Best Local Charity in New Orleans, the festival has become one of the top sources for raising money for families with children fighting brain cancer.
