The annual youth fishing rodeo is held at Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge for kids ages 4 to 12. Pre-registration is required and there is limited space. The registration fee is $20 and included with the fee is a T-shirt, rod-and-reel, bait and lunch.
The event is sponsored by Southeast Louisiana Wildlife Refuges in collaboration with Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuges Inc. The tournament will be held at the Pearl River Turnaround Fishing Pond at Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge.
