The 30 by Ninety Theatre in Mandeville is set to showcase Oscar Wilde’s masterpiece, “The Importance of Being Earnest,” running on weekends from April 20 to May 4, 2024. Audiences can catch the performances at 8:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 2:30 pm on Sundays.
Dubbed “A Trivial Comedy for Serious People,” Wilde’s final and most celebrated work uses his sharp wit and keen observational skills to craft a brilliant satire of Victorian society. The play employs the classic elements of romantic comedy and farce to hold up a mirror to the audience, revealing the absurdity often found in our own behaviors and attitudes.
30 by Ninety Theatre, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is situated at 880 Lafayette Street in Mandeville. Since its inception in 2014, the theater has been dedicated to delivering intimate theatrical experiences that engage, challenge, and entertain audiences.
