The City of Slidell is presenting a new exhibition called “The Light” at the Slidell Cultural Center at City Hall. The exhibition will feature works by
Christine Bandera, LaNelle Landry, Robert LaBranche and Martin Needom. The artwork is created by using light as the central element.
The exhibit will be on display Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In order to view the exhibit, you must have an appointment. The artists are attributing the light used in their pieces as hope during the difficult times we have had during the pandemic.
The City of Slidell Culture Center is a contemporary art gallery. The different exhibits that are displayed throughout the year, feature pieces by local and regional artists. The center will have between 6 – 8 art exhibits annually and all are free. The center offers guided tours and self-guided tours.
