This play is based on a book written by Lynn Ahrens. It is a story that occurs in 1985 in the French Antilles. The original Broadway production ran from 1990 to 1991 and won a Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical.
Slidell Little Theatre is located in Slidell, Louisiana in St. Tammany Parish. The theater was founded in 1963 by volunteer Northshore residents.
SLT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer organization. There are more than 700 members. All talent is local and all auditions are open to the public.
