The walk is downtown Covington and is sponsored by Slidell Memorial Hospital, St. Tammany Parish Hospital and Ochsner Medical Center Northshore, Florida Marine Transport and North Oaks Health System. The walk is at the Covington Trailhead and will begin at 9 am.
The event is free and promotes physical activities and heart-healthy living. The Covington part of this national event is part of the Northshore Heart Walk. Northshore residents want to live longer, stronger, healthier lives.
This national movement helps save lives. It funds the science that creates artificial heart valves. It also teaches us how to live a healthier life by eating smart and moving.
