The City of Covington and the Northshore Food Bank once again join forces to celebrate the holiday season with the 3rd annual “Trim the Trailhead” event. Dozens of fresh Christmas trees will adorn the Covington Trailhead, each uniquely decorated by local businesses, civic groups, and families to spread festive cheer while shining a light on the issue of food insecurity across the Northshore. This community tradition not only adds to the city’s holiday magic but also serves a greater purpose—supporting the Food Bank’s mission to provide meals and hope for those in need throughout the season and beyond.
Located at stop #8 on “Covington’s Twelve Days of Christmas” lighted trail, the Trailhead display is free for all to enjoy, with trees illuminated nightly from dusk to dawn, December 1, 2025, through January 6, 2026. Visitors are encouraged to stroll through the glowing exhibit, take in the creativity of each decorated tree, and reflect on the spirit of giving that defines the holidays. Since 1984, the Northshore Food Bank has been sustained by the generosity of local supporters, serving as a vital resource for families facing hardship.
