The Freret krewe began again in 2011 bay several Loyola graduates. It is a co-ed krewe with over 500 male and female riders. There are 18 floats and 3 superfloats in the parade. The throws include hand-decorated masks.

The parade begins at the intersection of Napoleon Ave and Tchoupitoulas St. It will turn right onto St Charles Ave where it will circle around Lee Cir back onto St Charles Ave. At Canal St the parade will turn right and then right again onto Tchoupitoulas where it will end at Tchoupitoulas and Poydras St.

This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
