Founded in 1972 this is an all-female krewe that rides on the Uptown route. The krewe’s motto is “Her beauty is timeless, her age is now….forever!” It is named after the Queen of Egypt and has over 1500 riders! The parade includes 21 floats including 9 tandems. The signature throw is handmade fans.
This parade will take the route that starts at Jefferson Ave and Magazine St. At Magazine St and Napoleon Ave it will turn left. It will then turn right onto St Charles Ave where it will go around Lee Cir and back onto St Charles. It will then turn right onto Canal St and then turn right onto Tchoupitoulas St. It will end at Tchoupitoulas and Poydras St.
This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
