Canoeing on Castine Bayou is a three-hour guided paddling tour. The guide for this tour will be Byron Almquist who is a Louisiana Master Naturalist. Bayou Castine flows into Lake Ponchartrain.
The Northlake Nature Center is a 400-acre nature preserve located east of Mandeville. There are over eight miles of hiking and biking trails. There is also a free launch for canoes.
