This marks the 10th Annual Bayou Gardens Open House where visitors will enjoy free tours, workshops, guest speakers, refreshments and floral displays. The tours will begin at the Visitor Center entrance with garden experts, refuge staff and volunteer guides.
Bayou Gardens is located on the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain and has over 400 varieties of camellias as well as many other exotic plants. The gardens span over a 110-acre property that is also the home to the Southeast Louisiana National Wildlife Refuges’ headquarters.
