Join us for a vibrant celebration of culture and history at the Bayou Lacombe Museum’s 7th Annual Native American Heritage Celebration. This free, family-friendly event takes place Saturday, November 1, and Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 61115 S St Mary St, Lacombe, LA 70445. Immerse yourself in the rich traditions of Native American culture through engaging activities, delicious food, and hands-on learning all weekend long.
On Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the day opens with an All Saint’s Day presentation from 11:00 to 11:30, followed by a lunch featuring local favorites like pasta salad, maque choux, and jambalaya with cash, Venmo, and Cash App accepted. From 1:00 to 4:00, feel the excitement of a Choctaw stickball game with kid-friendly play, explore unique vendors showcasing beadwork and filé making, and enjoy a meet and greet with local firefighters.
On Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., deepen your knowledge with a special presentation on natural plant remedies led by Angie Comeaux (Mvskoke/Choctaw Cherokee) and Jen Blanchard. Throughout the weekend, take part in the ongoing Choctaw Stickball clinic and visit a variety of food and craft vendors.
