The Oak Street Po-Boy Festival is presented by Tony Chachere’s and benefits Son of a Saint. The festival has did not happen for the last two years and will return this fall. There will be over 40 food vendors, four stages of music, art market and kids zone. The popular po-boy sandwich will be celebrated with a competition where local restaurants will compete for the best po-boy.
The festival will benefit Son of a Saint which is a 501(c)(3) non profit. The program is there for fatherless boys that are mentored, given emotional support and taught life skills. Many young men who are part of Son of a Saint will make long-lasting peer-to-peer relationships and have positive constructive experiences.
