The French Market Creole Tomato Festival is held in New Orleans annually. There will be fresh local tomatoes for sale along with cooking demonstrations, food booths, live music, children’s activities, and even a recently added Creole Tomato eating contest. The festival is always held on the second weekend in June.
There are many traditions at the festival like the life-sized tomatoes that hand out tomato-shaped fans. There will also be an auction where the first tomatoes of the season will be auctioned. Live music will be on four stages, and there will be exciting giveaways.
