Reinvention: Creative Pivots in the Pandemic is at the Slidell Cultural Center at City Hall. Artists will tell the story of how the arts played a role in celebrating the human spirit during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The exhibition will have a 3D animated music video created by local musician Savej and Austrian animator TAS. Artists featured will be Connie Born, Mary Christopher, Charlotte Lowry Collins, Robert Dutruch, Vanessa Hock Art, Kelly Landrum-Hammell, Matt Litchliter, Mandie Manzano, Al Reisz, and Abby Sands, artist (and now author) Rose Marie Sand and curator Kim Bergeron.
The City of Slidell Culture Center is a contemporary art gallery. The different exhibits that are displayed throughout the year, feature pieces by local and regional artists. The center will have between 6 – 8 art exhibits annually and all are free. The center offers guided tours and self-guided tours.
