This krewe began in 1996 and is named for the Yoruba goddess of love and intimacy. A peacock float leads the parade. There are over 300 male and female riders who ride on 20 Barry Barth floats. Throws include peacock figurines and mugs.
The route starts at Bonnbel Blvd and Nero St. It then takes a right onto Veterans Memorial Blvd. At Severn Ave the parade goes right and then makes a u-turn at 17th St. At Veterans Memorial Blvd it makes a right and then takes a left before Clearview Pkwy. It then ends at Clearview Shopping Center.
This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
