This krewe began in 1996 and is named for the Yoruba goddess of love and intimacy. A peacock float leads the parade. There are over 300 male and female riders who ride on 20 Barry Barth floats. Throws include peacock figurines and mugs.
This parade will take the route that starts at Magazine St and Napoleon Ave. It will then turn right onto St Charles Ave where it will go around Lee Cir and back onto St Charles. It will then turn right onto Canal St and then turn right onto Tchoupitoulas St. It will end at Tchoupitoulas and Poydras St.
This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
