The krewe is named after the ancient Celtic societies’ priest class. The krewe was established in 1998. There are only 250 members and will never go over that amount. The male riders ride on 18 floats during the parade.

Beginning at Magazine and Napoleon the parade will head north to St Charles where it will take a right. It will take St Charles and turn around at Lee Circle. Heading northward on St Charles, it will then turn onto Canal and head east. The last turn will be at Tchoupitoulas St where it will end at Tchoupitoulas and Poydras.

This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
