This is a fairly young Krewe that began in 1993. It took its name from Zeus and Calliope’s son. Harry Connick Jr. and Harry Connick Sr. founded the krewe. There are 700 members and is noted to be the first super krewe to allow females and males to ride. They are known for the throws that include the light-up Orpheus medallion beads.
This uptown New Orleans parade begins at Napoleon Ave and Tchoupitoulas St. It runs north to St. Charles and turns right. It goes around Lee Cir and goes back towards Canal St. The parade turns right onto Canal St, then turns right back onto Tchoupitoulas, then right onto Julia St. It will then end at the Convention Center and Henderson St.
