Also known as “The Tramps”, Krewe of Zulu was founded in 1909. There are over 1,500 male riders on floats. They are also known for their coconut throw.

The parade is held in Uptown New Orleans at the intersection of S Clairborne and Jackson Aven. The parade will follow Jackson down to St Charles and turn left. They will go St Charles and circle around Lee Cir and continue onto St Charles to Poydras St. It will take a left turn on Poydras St and then a right turn onto Basin St. It follows Basin St which turns into Orleans Ave and will end at Orleans Ave and Broad St.

This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
