The Krewe of Elks has 120 individually decorated trucks. There are 4,500 female and male riders in this parade. The Krewe was founded in 1935 and is the oldest and largest of the truck float krewes.

The parade is held in Uptown New Orleans at the intersection of Napoleon Ave and S Clairborne Ave. The parade will follow Napoleon and turn east on St Charles. The parade will follow St Charles to Lee St and circle back around. It will then run north on St Charles to Canal St to Elk Pl. It will end at the intersection  Elk Pl and Tulane Ave.

This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
