The Tunnel to Towers Foundation will host a 5K Run/Walk benefit race on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Covington Trailhead, 419 N. New Hampshire St., Covington. This meaningful event raises funds to support families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty, honoring the sacrifices made by first responders and military service members. Fire and police departments are invited to send participants in full fire or tactical gear, a powerful tribute to the bravery and commitment of those who serve. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual race option offers a way to join in from anywhere.
The race begins at 8 a.m., guiding runners and walkers along a scenic course through downtown Covington’s charming streets and historic neighborhoods. Whether you’re lacing up your running shoes, walking in solidarity, or participating virtually, the event embodies the spirit of the phrase so often spoken by firefighters, police, and military—“We leave no one behind.” It’s an opportunity to show support, remember fallen heroes, and strengthen the community through a shared cause.
