The Running of the Santas is an annual event in New Orleans. This is a bar tour and is for those twenty-one and over and will start at Manning’s at 519 Fulton Street. The bar crawl is a charity event which has usually over 3,000 parcipitants. This event is in the warehouse district and there will be live bands, drinks, the hottest Santa contest and the three block run.
There will be a best holiday costume battle and most will dress up as Santa, Mrs. Claus, Scrooge or reindeer. There will be several prizes and there will be a celebrity judge. Santas will also run through the streets of the Warehouse District with the final destination, the North Pole.
A portion of the proceeds will go to That Others May Live Foundation. This is a foundation that will give children scholarships, family counseling and aid to kids of United States Air Force rescue heroes who gave their lives.
