The Krewe of Muses was founded in 2000 and is named after one of Zeus’ daughters. One of the most humorous parades during Carnival. There are over 1,000 female rides on 26 floats. Their signature throw is hand-decorated high-heeled shoes.
The parade takes the Uptown route beginning at Magazine and Jefferson Ave where it will follow Magazine to Napoleon Ave and turn left. The parade will proceed onto Napoleon Ave and then turn right onto St Charles. It will take St Charles and turn around at Lee Cir. It will follow St Charles back up to Canal Street and turn southeast. Then they will take a right onto Tchoupitoulas where the parade will end at Tchoupitoulas and St Joseph St.
This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
