The Bayou Bacchanal is hosted by the Friends of Culture. The Friends of Culture encourages the New Orleans area to learn about the island nations of the Caribbean and its culture. This festival is also linked to the annual Curry With A Flavor festival in New Orleans. There will be fun dancy, costumes, live music, wonderful food and much more!
The day will start with a parade that will run through the French Quarter with marching bands and dance troupes. The entertainment will showcase Soca, Dancehall and Reggae. The day will have more events, including a costume competition and food from all the Caribbean islands.
