This krewe began in 2014 and is an all-female club. Named after Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, just warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts and skill. This krewe is made up of professional diversified women. They promote sisterhood, fellowship and fun. There are 475 riders in the parade with 22 floats.

The parade follows the traditional Metairie route. It begins at the intersection of Bonnabel Blvd and Nero St. The parade will head down Veterans Memorial Blvd and turn right onto Severn Ave. The parade then makes a u-turn at 17th St and comes back south on Severn. It will then turn right back onto Veterans heading west. The parade will end at Houma Blvd near the Clearview Shopping Center.

This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated in New Orleans from January 6, 2020 (Twelfth Night) to Fat Tuesday on February 25, 2020. There will be 74 parades around the New Orleans Metro and the Northshore.
