The Madisonville Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration is held by the Madisonville Chamber of Commerce along the banks of the Tchefuncte River. The celebration begins at 11 am with a parade through downtown Madisonville and ends with fireworks just after dusk.
Patrons can enjoy DJ music, games, contests, a watermelon-eating contest and the Miss Madisonville Beauty Pageant. There will also be food available for purchase which includes hot-dogs, roasted corn-on-the-cob, red beans & rice, and a bunch of local favorites.
Bring your lawn chairs, coolers and picnic baskets and find a nice spot on the riverfront. This all-day event is free with street parking available.
